Meet Snoops!

Hi guys! My name is Snoops! I am a 5 month old mini schnauzer! Hehe, that’s right, I’m still a baby! I have a special skill. I’d like to call it… Magical eyes! Remember Puss in Boots from Shrek? He had the cutest, most powerful stare that could get him anything he wanted? YUP, THAT’S WHAT I HAVE TOO! Hehe, definitely comes in handy! Anyway, because I’m still a baby, everything makes me curious so Crystle spends all day running after me! Hahaha. It’s kinda funny watching her do that. Sometimes I trick her by hiding in her room when she goes to the toilet. She always panics! Oh yes, two of the dogs here are super fun to play with! There’s this grumpy chihuahua though, he always ignores me when I pounce on him. I think his name is Skotch. I heard the other dogs say he’s boring because he’s old. I hope I never get old!

We’re so proud of you old girl!

Here’s what I wanted to share with you guys! Heheheh. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BESS FINALLY ATE ON HER OWN!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a VERY exciting morning for all of us!!! Hehehehhe. The last picture really shows how tiny Bess is huh? I wonder if she finds me scary. I’m like 200 times bigger than she is! Hehe anyway, Bess started off munching on some brown rice + sweet potato + minced pork mix (silver bowl) then moved on to tiny chicken pieces (pink bowl). YAY!!! She had quite the breakfast I must say. Haha. I’m really looking forward to seeing her eat dinner!

A note from the heart

Dear Readers,

I’m not quite sure how many of you have read the main message on my home page, but if you haven’t please make your way there, have a quick read so you’ll be able to understand this entry better :)

I won’t deny that what’s going on has been terribly upsetting, it has left me feeling constantly worried, because there is nothing in the world that I love doing more than being around dogs and looking after them.

I’ve always had an exceptional love for dogs and as a child, I wanted nothing more than to receive a puppy in a box with a big bow on top, under the Christmas tree. That might sound awfully silly but my parents, who ensured that I had to be responsible enough before getting me a dog, waited till I turned 17. It was definitely worth the wait :)

However, as time went by, I grew up and had added responsibilities. I made the difficult decision of pursuing an education overseas and eventually my work required me to move about a fair bit, which left me with very little time to be with Skotch. That was the beginning of boarding for him. I hated to be away from him, but I had no choice.

I boarded him at various places but I never really knew how he was doing. This is why I make it a point to update my clients every single day so they know exactly how their little ones are doing. I basically try to do everything that I felt was missing when Skotch was boarded and I try my best to ease the insecurities owners have. I worry about many things, when a dog isn’t eating well, when a dog isn’t playing, when a dog isn’t socialized. I always want them to leave my home healthy and with new skills that they can bring along with them.

I don’t know if I will be able to continue doing what I love and while many of you still read this blog, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the owners who have been overwhelmingly supportive and for trusting me with your their little ones. I know how difficult and worrying it must be to be away from your dog and place him/her in the hands and home of a stranger. Your little ones have brought me tremendous joy and without them, I’m guessing I would be a lot more upset right now. It’s their funny, silly antics and uniquely adorable personalities that cheer me up despite everything that’s going on. I mean, anyone who has a dog will know that all you have to do is look at them, and they’ll immediately react to you. If you’re feeling upset, they’ll bury their head near you, or pounce on you and smother you with kisses. How can that possibly not cheer anyone up? :)

To my little furry clients, it has been a pleasure and an honour watching you! Even though some of you throw up in my hair, chew my pretty shoes and always jump in front of the mirror whenever I try to put on my moisturizer (I’m starting to believe dogs prefer their dog sitters to look unkempt, hahaha), I wouldn’t give up taking care of you for anything else! All of you are cute, beautiful little princes and princesses and I will never forget each and everyone of you :) Your mummies and daddies are lucky to have you! :)
